Lynne and Peter have many characteristics. One of the most important is possibly luck. Combined with an ability to cherish what we have around us, it allows us to indulge in one of the most satisfying pursuits ever. Travelling.

The pleasures and excitement of travelling to far-flung places is something we have picked up from our ancestors. When my maternal grandmother was widowed at age 57, she began to travel, first to North America and then various countries in Europe.
Mum and dad did a fair bit of travelling too, often to visit Classical archeological sites, but when dad retired they went on a trip round the world, taking them to Thailand, Fiji, Australia, New Zealand, Hawaii, and North America.
Peter and I have done much travelling together, instilling in Chris and Kirsten a love of travel, after our expeditions to India, China and the Far East when they were aged 9 and 10, S.E Asia 20 years ago as well as North and South America!
